Orlando Sentinel: Trailblazing a path in autism

The Orlando Sentinel wrote an article spotlighting Techtonic, the first social enterprise launched by the Jonathan’s Landing Foundation (JLF), along with its innovative Techtonic Demo Days and Techtonic Workforce Academy.

Techtonic delivers best-in-class mobile IT asset repair, disposition, and management services, powered by a fully neuroinclusive team.

Founded by tech entrepreneur and Luminar Technologies co-founder Jason Eichenholz, Techtonic aims to address the staggering 85% unemployment rate among adults with autism by providing 5,000 career pathways.

Through the Workforce Academy, students will receive training and WISE certifications in cellphone and laptop repair, equipping them with the skills and confidence to achieve financial independence and lead lives of dignity and purpose.

As a gateway to the Academy, JLF partners with schools and organizations like the Osceola County School District and OCA to host Demo Days. These hands-on, instructor-led demonstrations allow neurodiverse individuals to explore their interest and aptitude for device repair.

Workforce Academy students further their training with real-world apprenticeships at Techtonic’s Device Depot, combining technical expertise with practical experience.

Beyond providing employment, Techtonic is reshaping societal perceptions by showcasing the immense value neurodiverse individuals bring to businesses and the community at large.
