Spectrum News 13’s Randy Rausch spent time with Jason and Jonathan Eichenholz to learn more about our vision for building a comprehensive community for adults with autism.
As Jason tells Randy Raush, since the moment his family got the diagnosis that Jonathan had autism, he has worried about what happens to Jonathan once he is gone. And for adults with autism, there is a crisis of care when these individuals reach 21 and lose access to the care and services they need to transition into adulthood.
These needs inspired Jason’s to create a community where adults can pursue a life of dignity, purpose, and community, called Jonathan’s Landing. Led by Ted Baker and the team at Baker Barrios, architectural plans have been drafted for a 500-unit residential community that will move residents toward their own tailored level of independent living.
